Chuck E. Cheese is yet another Pizza company that has success and different style to other companies. Moreover, it is not just popular, but has one of the best themes as well. Nolan Bushnell was the founder of Chuck E Cheese in 1977 and the first store was located in San Jose, California. However, originally the name of the company was Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre. It was officially labeled as a diner that delivered food, entertainment and indoor arcade all under one roof. And hence, was very popular with the children because of the arcade.

The Pizza business continued to take on the theme as an entertainment pizza store with many new characters being mascots in stores. In 1980 the first ShowBiz pizza store had opened in Kansas City but 4 years later in 1984 Chuck E Cheese joined with ShowBiz Pizza. At the time the business was small and was not earning much but Bushnell was not worried. In addition to this, in 1985 he delivered a new plan with Chuck E. Cheese Pizza taking a turn for the better with quality and marketing for entertainment with guest satisfaction. Since the profits were decreasing in the past the new business plan eventually took the business to the next level. In 1986 the company was recording new highs as the new marketing plan kicked in which increased sales with the help of remodeling of business. The concept of having animals of many kinds in their stores to help the entertainment levels was a great idea but continued to extend with the kids loving the mascots in the store near them.

Advertising was quite important for Chuck E Cheese Pizza as there were lots of ads going around, in fact on the same lines of entertainment while enjoying a slice of pizza. In 1994 there was a new president appointed which implemented a new marketing plan which was better than their previous one; and that has still kept Chuck E Cheese Pizza running today. In 1997 they celebrated 20 years of successful business in the food and entertainment. This was definitely a special year for them. Bushnell’s experience in the amusement park industry helped him implement a Walt Disney theme in his stores and that was what brought lots of kids to the stores.
In the year 2000 there was yet again another great achievement in the Business history as they had opened their 300th store. This was only possible due to steady income that came in over the years. In 2003 there was a further increase in the amount of achievements and the amount of stores in the business where it had its 400th owned store in their company. In 2007 they achieved the great feat of 30 years of what a great business they have created over the period of time. Chuck E Cheese is still going strong and it doesn’t seem like the theme of Disney is decreasing but the arcade levels are defiantly going down. It’s currently based in Texas where its’ main headquarters lie and its revenue is still coming but their mission is still providing Pizzas with great entertainment involved with the best deals that they offer with extra coupons.
